Moo Roo gives way to Mary Norton Inc.

Moo Roo handbags have officially been retired!

Mary Norton, the founder of the fabulous and fun brand, has launched a new label, Mary Norton, Inc. Her bags are as beautiful as always, but this line is certainly different from Norton's Moo Roo evening bags, which were whimsical and incorporated such materials as ostrich feathers, hand-dyed silk and Swarovski crystals in interesting shapes and silhouettes.

Mary Norton, Inc., sells evening bags, too, but they're sleeker and more sophisticated. The brand also offers social and day handbags and some killer heels, some as high as 4 inches. (Diva Mommies can wear heels that high, but don't pull a Britney in them by attempting to carry your baby where perched on a pair of platforms. Save the staggering stilettos for nights out with hubby. )

As one of Moo Roo's "most supportive customers" -- isn't that sweet -- I've earned a $100 voucher to use on a purchase from the company's new Mary Norton, Inc. Web site.

Decisions. Decisions. Decisions.

Reese Witherspoon is my hero, so of course, I had to check out the bag that Norton named for her. Yummy, yes, but it doesn't make my heart flutter like some of Norton's other celebrity handbags.

I'm loving Norton's use of black and red patent leather in the love the look of Juliette evening bag and the Isolde clutch.

There's something about the two-tone scrollwork design that really appeals to me. I like how the cut-away pattern creates positive and negative space. I predict that's going to be big this fashion season. Norton plays with the look with her Metallica bag and Dawn bag, as well.

If pushed to choose one favorite Mary Norton handbag, it would probably be the red-and-black Juliette or the black-and-white version. I'll be saving my allowance for one of those!
