Recently, I wrote about my struggles to get my picky preschooler eat his fruits and vegetables.
Given this photo, you wouldn't think that would be a problem. This past weekend, we took a trip to the North Carolina mountains and went to an apple orchard to do some picking. The picky boy picked up an apple and ate the whole thing (after I'd removed the skin with my teeth!)
Fluke, I tell you. Fluke. I'm hoping his taste for apples will last for as long as the peck of handpicked ones lasts.
But I also have a new weapon in my mealtime arsenal. Horizon has introduced Little Blends, a selection of all-natural yogurts made with fruits and vegetables. Thanks to TwitterMoms and Horizon, we got the chance to try Little Blends for free, and it's a thumbs up all around.
Jackson loved the apple and butternut squash yogurt that we sampled. But he didn't have a clue that he was eating fruit and vegetables because the yogurt is smooth blended. Little Blends are perfect for those of us who have kids who will pick out every trace of fruit and vegetable in a dish. That's Jackson. He'll only eat smooth yogurt, not the kind with fruit blended in. Heck, this kid won't even eat green pasta!
As part of the Goo Goo Giveaway Extravaganza, I'm giving one lucky winner a Little Blends prize pack that includes an insulated Thermos Snak Jar, a Little Blends spoon and a coupon for a free four-pack of Little Blends.
